Known as the 'Giant yellow bubble mint' a large back of the border North American Prairie plant, with stout square sectioned stems bearing impressive spikes of creamy-white-green flowers which can be up to 60cm long! attractive to all pollinators. The flowers open a few at a time during late summer causing the colour to turn from a soft yellow to a light shade of purple. These stems emerge above large arrowhead lower leaves which turn a dark purple colour into the Autumn months.
prefers full sun in well drained, but moist soil and will increase slowly. This plant is known to be Deer resistant due to its bitter tasting leaves.
