Cornus alba 'Siberian Pearls'

Known as the ' Siberian Dogwood' a stunning deciduous shrub best known for its winter effect once all its leaves have dropped! This cornus has oval dark green leaves, which turn a red to reddish-purple in the Autumn. small creamy white to pale yellow flowers in May, and clusters of white & sometimes china blue Autumn fruits But the really stunningly deep scarlet stems are its main attribute giving a cheer to the winter months, planted alongside other yellow, purple, or orange stemmed dogwoods and other winter interest plants you can have colour even in the darkest months. Prefers full sun in any soil even waterlogged.

For the best stem colours you will need to cut the plant back hard to around 10cm from the ground in March every other year & the new growth will then attain a lovely colour for the next season.
