Cortaderia selloana 'Pumila'

The "Dwarf Pampass grass" forms a tight clump of green sharp edged leaves which are topped in late summer through into the autumn with compact beige/cream plumes on stems 1.5m in height . These are much prized by flower arrangers and can be used in the home as decoration as they are very long lasting. originating in the Pampass plains of South America, these grasses are excellent planted as a specimen focal point . Plant in full sun in a well drained soil, these plants are very tough and accommodating, drought tolerant and maybe this is why they are now coming back into fashion !
