An attractive semi evergreen fern, sometimes known as the "Holly fern"with architectural divided, dark green fronds on black stems. Looks great combining well with other woodland plants such as Epimedium, Hostas & Carex grasses in a moist fertile & humus rich soil in dappled to partial shade.
