Echinops ritro

known as the 'Blue globe thistle' this versatile group of statuesque, drought loving, flowering perennials are ideal in poor, well drained soil in full sun. A magnet for bees & much used as a cut flower. Ideal in mixed borders or as accent plants in a gravel garden.

This variety has bright blue rounded globe like flowers over glaucous foliage from July onwards.
