Stipa Tenuissima a graceful small grass with bright green foliage & fluffy beige plumes from June which are constantly moving in the wind. A favourite at the nursery with everyone, needs full sun and well drained soil. Ht 60cm x Sp 50cm

Lythrum 'Rosy Gem' the ' Pink Loosestrife' Native American wildflowers, suited well to the mixed or prairie style border, but also effective in a traditional cottage garden border. They grow well in sun to part shade in any reasonable soil, and particularly in boggy or wet soil, This variety has spikes of deep rose pink flowers from from June onwards. Ht 1m x Sp 60cm

Verbena Bonariensis The Verbenas are ideal for growing 'Through" other plants, & mixed in for a naturalistic feel to a border. They look great with Ornamental grasses, Stipa tenuisima is a good partner for its frothy appearance & amongst other mid to late season perennials.This variety has tall rigid upright stems topped with clusters of tiny mauve, scented flowers above green-grey foliage from June onwards Ht 1.8cm x Sp 50cm

Echinacea purpurea 'Magnus' has large pink to purple daisy type flowers with a dark almost orange like centre from June onwards, and standing well into the winter, even the dead stems & flower heads give structure when covered in dew or frost. Ht 90cm x Sp 45cm

Pennisetum Villosum known as the 'Fountain grass' An attractive & popular grass with large furry caterpillar like, white to cream flowers produced over light green leaves from July onwards. Plant amongst gravel or in containers. Ht 50cm x Sp 50cm

Rudbeckia Goldstrum black eyed, single, yellow daisy flowers with cone shaped black-brown centres from August until October. Perfect for creating a splash of late-summer colour in ornamental borders working well in prairie -style schemes with ornamental grasses. Ht 60cm x Sp 60cm

Veronicastrum sibiricum Known as the 'Siberian blackroot' much prized plants whorls of broad lance shaped, dark green leaves & light pink to purple slender flower spires from June onwards into early Autumn. A great, classy plant mid border or as an accent plant in a island bed. Lovely when mixed amongst a prairie style design. Ht 1.5m x Sp 1m

Panicum 'Emerald Chief' The 'Switch' or 'Panic grass' This lovely Panicum variety has stunning, emerald green leaves which turning yellow later in the year with airy sprays of tiny pinkish flowers from late summer to Autumn turning gold later into the year. Ht 1.2m x Sp 60-70cm
