Ficus carica 'Brown Turkey'

The edible fig has been grown in Britain since Roman times, a selected few varieties are known to be fully hardy and 'Brown Turkey' is one of the best, with prolific amounts of fresh figs in warm summers, along with large deciduous sculptural leaves. Figs can be contained to produce less leaf growth and thus more fruit, however if you let it grow in a sunny spot you will get as many figs as you need !

This plant can be heavily pruned to keep it to the required size in its final planting location.
