Melica ciliata

The 'Silky spike melic' a subtle, delicate grass, with soft green compact foliage topped in midsummer with heads of pale buff-white spikes flowers fading to pinkish-buff when dried. Ideal in a naturalistic planting scheme, or planted in blocks in gravel gardens.

must be grown in full sun to part shade in well drained soil and will increase slowly.
