Known as burnet, a compact clump forming perennial. Its deep red bottlebrush flowers on slender stems over finely divided blue-green foliage are produced from late Summer into the Autumn months, combining well with grasses and other perennials mid border to give a classic look.
Very popular with pollinating insects it prefers a moist, well drained soil in full sun to partial shade. It will tolerate drier conditions once established. Paired with grasses & later flowering perennials it will provide a naturalistic element to prairie themed border plantings.
