Stipa capillata

Known as the feather, needle or hair grass, producing an upright clump of fine, greyish green leaves above which loose wispy silvery - green flower plumes move with every breeze. Ideal mid border and very well suited to the prairie planting style.

Lasting well into the Autumn.

Prefers full sun with a well drained soil, tolerant of drought conditions.
