Carex ( Deciduous Varieties)
This deciduous group of sedges, offer shade tolerant ground cover coverage, mostly in moist or even boggy soil, and a great foil to ferns and other shade loving plants. They form a multitude of differing leaf shapes and foliage types.
They are particularly striking when planted in groups in moist shade under trees and other difficult areas.
Maintenance ; Deciduous or semi deciduous Carex are normally best cut back hard to the base, but only in late spring (Mid Feb)
