Chrysopogon gryllus

Known as the scented grass, a native of central Europe & Asia this plant forms dense clumps with arching, linear, mid green leaves and erect stems bearing open panicles of reddish purple flower spikelets from late summer into the autumn. Prefers full sun and a well drained soil ,is very drought tolerant and low maintenance. A good alternative to the Panicum grasses.
