Known as Barrenwort' these are invaluable early spring flowering, semi evergreen ground cover plants for a humus rich, shady position. They have beautiful new leaves which have early deep red/maroon colourings, fading to green, and pale pink & white flowers in the spring. a good weed suppressor in a shady spot, plant with ferns and other shade loving plants for differing foliar effects.
