Hemerocallis "Day Lilly"

Hemerocallis are known as 'The Day Lillies' and whilst each individual bloom only lasts one day, the masses of elegant trumpet like blooms last for weeks on end. They prefer full sun in a moist but well drained soil and are ideal mid border amongst other perennials, often the ideal plant to hide spent bulb foliage from the spring. The lily-like trumpet flowers from June to the end of September bridge a gap in the flowering seasons.
