Molinia caerulea 'Dauerstrahl'

Molinia grasses are known as 'Purple moor grass'. This form, is much sought after with its tall, arching plumes of purple airy flower panicles held high above an erect fresh green foliage mound from mid-summer onwards.

Attractive clump forming grasses with narrow, linear, rich green leaves. topped with Slender airy plumes of tiny dark purple flowers, on upright to gently arching, yellow tinted, green stems held high above the foliage from late summer, then turning orange-yellow by the late autumn

Prefers a good soil in full sun to partial shade. A great statement grass that will also cope with dry shade.
