Pennisetum macrourum 'Tail feathers'

These Pennisteums are known as the 'African feather grasses' They carry long attractive, white cat tail like flower heads in the late Summer, July onwards, lasting well into the first heavy frosts. Plant in full sun and a well drained but moist soil. They look great slightly set back in a border, and make a great container specimen for a strategic spot as they have a lovely vertical shape.
