Known as the Eastern bluestar, its dense clusters of slate blue star shaped flowers are formed in clusters over neat mounds of narrow green foliage, in late spring to early summer.
A lovely addition to any garden & merges well into the naturalistic style of planting suiting a pairing with grasses & other prairie style perennials.
This plant has a second season of interest with its calming golden yellow to deep purple foliage tones, blending nicely into the late summer - Autumnal scene.
This deciduous plant prefers sun or light shade in any soil as long as it does not get too wet.
