Epimedium 'rubrum'

Known as the 'Red Barrenwort' these are invaluable early spring flowering, semi evergreen ground cover plants for a humus rich, shady position. They have beautiful new leaves which have deep red/maroon colourings, and crimson flowers in the spring. a good weed suppressor in a shady spot, plant with ferns and other shade loving plants for differing foliar effects.
