The 'Purple moor grass' This selection of a native form has very distinctive purplish to almost black flower stems with very dense flowers over attractive mounds of lush green foliage. In the early Autumn the whole plant fades to a vivid orange yellow before collapsing into the winter months.
Prefers a good soil in full sun to partial shade, but also coping well with heavy wet soils. A great statement grass
