Patrinia or Eastern valerian is definitely the yellow equivalent of Verbena bonariensis with airy, highly attractive heads of individual tiny lime - yellow flowers forming dainty rounded heads, borne on upright, branched stems above cut leaf foliage, with the basal leaves turning attractive red autumnal colours.
