Phormium 'Flamingo'

Phormium 'Flamingo', known as the New Zealand Flax, Phormiums are extremely architectural, tropical effect plants with lovely sword / strap like leaves, they must have full sun and a moist but well drained soil. Perfect in containers or in amongst a gravel planting, forming a great "statement" plant, keep them well watered during the summer months.

This compact variety has a semi arching habit with attractive, arching sword like leaves flushed rose pink & chocolate. A lovely plant for container growing or mixed in with other tropical effect plants. Also use in mixed borders as a vivid accent plant.Lovely tight clusters of red flowers on stems above the main group of leaves by late summer.
