The Japanese thistle, a clump forming perennial or biennial which produces rounded heads of light pink, thistle-like flowers, in late summer to early autumn, on tall branching stems over long, deeply lobed, slightly spiny green leaves.
Very tolerant of drought ridden areas, in gravel or through a mixed planting of grasses & perennials
must be grown in full sun in a moist but well drained soil and will increase slowly.
